Silverline
Investments

We don't invest by
category.

Silverline deploys its own capital across four broad areas, with investments made in 22 U.S. states over its history. The categories are a convenience for the reader — the decision is always about the specific situation.

01

Real Estate

A foundational asset class, currently spanning eight states.

Residential housing, specialized housing, commercial, industrial and warehouse/storage — plus opportunistic acquisitions that don't announce themselves as a category. We don't publish an acquisition box, because the interesting deals rarely fit one.

Operating Companies & Private Investments

Selective equity in established businesses.

We invest where capital, relationships, systems, strategy or hands-on involvement can change the trajectory of a business. These positions span unrelated industries. That is intentional — the through-line is the situation, not the sector.

Ventures

Businesses and concepts we build ourselves.

Silverline has a long history of starting, testing and operating things. Some become permanent holdings. Others generate the kind of learning you can't buy, which then shows up in the next acquisition. Experimentation is part of the DNA.

Special Situations

The opportunities that don't fit anywhere else.

Unusual ownership circumstances, overlooked assets, underperforming operations, complex properties, unconventional partnerships and creative acquisition structures. Not distress for its own sake — flexibility, applied where it's actually worth something.

Special Situations
What gets our attention

There is opportunity in the overlooked.

  • Underutilized assets
  • Overlooked markets
  • Unusual cash-flow profiles
  • Operational inefficiency
  • Businesses that could perform better
  • Specialized real-estate strategies
  • Assets that don't fit traditional boxes
  • Owners facing unusual circumstances

Holdings, positions and strategies are disclosed selectively. Certain investment approaches are intentionally not published.

If capital were the only variable, everyone would win.

Sometimes the missing ingredient is operations, relationships, structure or patience. Tell us what you're working on and we'll tell you honestly whether we're useful.
